{"id":3367,"date":"2021-06-29T12:53:00","date_gmt":"2021-06-29T10:53:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/herpasa.com\/animal-by-product-meal-processing-plant\/"},"modified":"2026-08-25T14:21:14","modified_gmt":"2026-08-25T12:21:14","slug":"animal-by-product-meal-processing-plant","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/herpasa.com\/en\/animal-by-product-meal-processing-plant\/","title":{"rendered":"Animal by-product meal processing plant"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong><em>Herpasa is building a new complete facility for processing high-protein animal by-product meals.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Once completed, the processing plant will have a <strong>storage capacity of 550 t of meals<\/strong>, with an <strong>automatic weighing system<\/strong>, <strong>mixing and distribution<\/strong> on a structure over 25 m high.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Animal by-product meal processing<\/strong> consists of several phases: <strong>raw material reception and cold storage<\/strong>, <strong>transport<\/strong> to the plant for <strong>treatment in digesters<\/strong>, and then <strong>cooling<\/strong> and <strong>processing into meals<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In the first phase, materials such as blood and viscera are collected at slaughterhouses and stored cold to preserve their properties, especially the proteins they contain.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">They are then processed in the digesters and the meal is produced, which is sent hot to the storage silos.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The silos are interconnected to mix meals, load trucks, and send product to the mixer.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">General control software enables simple and highly comprehensive operation for all types of meal management.<\/p>\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-gestor-del-servicio wp-block-embed-gestor-del-servicio wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe title=\"Animal feed processing plant\" width=\"800\" height=\"450\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/l5EGX3cmi5Q?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer;
