Tanks designed to store grain and other bulk solid materials
Description
Large-capacity tanks designed to store grain and other bulk solid materials (casings, flour, yeast, pellets, corn, chocolate, etc.), for the agricultural industry and even for raw materials in chemical and cosmetic industries.
Inside they may have screw conveyors that assist in the difficult tasks of mixing and extracting the product from the bottom of the silo, since due to the density and weight of the stored products, simple gravity extraction is not always possible, causing product collapse.
Features
- Silo discharge. The flowability of certain powders is occasionally so poor that silo discharge requires vibrating bottoms, fluidizing plates, pneumatic hammers, or air cannons.
- Vibrating bottoms. Conical-shaped device that, due to vibration, facilitates material flow from hoppers or silos.
- Stainless steel cone.
- High-resistance polymer gasket.
- Suspensions for connecting the vibrating bottom to the silo.
- Suspensions for connecting the vibrating bottom to the silo.
- Silos can have several load cells installed on each of the silo supports to automatically monitor the volume of product stored inside.
- Depending on the product stored inside the silo, a refrigeration/heating chamber may be required at the bottom of the silo.
- Depending on the product stored inside the silo (flour, chocolate, etc.), dust chambers may form in the upper part of the silo, which may be classified as explosive atmospheres (ATEX), so the silos must have safety systems installed that activate when necessary and prevent internal deflagration through flame arrestor systems (some of which must be routed according to applicable regulations).
- Some accessories include:
- Detail of tank support with load cells for tank filling control.
- Silo with structure on top for vertical agitator installation, and safety panels (ATEX).
- Discharge screw conveyor detail.
