Herpasa is building a new complete facility for processing high-protein animal by-product meals.
Once completed, the processing plant will have a storage capacity of 550 t of meals, with an automatic weighing system, mixing and distribution on a structure over 25 m high.
Animal by-product meal processing consists of several phases: raw material reception and cold storage, transport to the plant for treatment in digesters, and then cooling and processing into meals.
In the first phase, materials such as blood and viscera are collected at slaughterhouses and stored cold to preserve their properties, especially the proteins they contain.
They are then processed in the digesters and the meal is produced, which is sent hot to the storage silos.
The silos are interconnected to mix meals, load trucks, and send product to the mixer.
General control software enables simple and highly comprehensive operation for all types of meal management.
