Herpasa is building a new, complete plant for the processing of high-protein animal by-products.
Once completed, the processing plant will have a storage capacity of 550Tn of flour, with an automatic weighing, mixing, and distribution system on a structure over 25m high.
The processing of animal meal consists of several phases: reception of the raw material and cold storage, transport to the plant for treatment in digesters, and subsequent cooling and transformation into meal.
In the first phase, materials such as blood and entrails are collected in the slaughterhouses, under special conditions so as not to lose the essential properties for the preservation of fresh proteins.
Blood is then processed in the digesters for the production of flour, which is sent hot to the storage silos.
The silos are interconnected with each other to allow for flour blending, truck loading, and delivery to the mixer.
The general control software allows a simple and very complete operation for all types of flour management.
