Herpasa is building a new, complete plant for the processing of high-protein animal by-products.
Once completed, the processing plant will have a storage capacity of 550Tn of flour, with an automatic weighing, mixing, and distribution system on a structure over 25m high.
The processing of animal meal consists of several phases: reception of the raw material and cold storage, transport to the plant for treatment in digesters, and subsequent cooling and transformation into meal.
In the first phase, materials such as blood and entrails are collected in the slaughterhouses, under special conditions so as not to lose the essential properties for the preservation of fresh proteins.
Blood is then processed in the digesters for the production of flour, which is sent hot to the storage silos.
The silos are interconnected with each other to allow for flour blending, truck loading, and delivery to the mixer.
The general control software allows a simple and very complete operation for all types of flour management.

If there is one word that is on everyone's lips, it is biotechnology, which is destined to revolutionise the pharma sector, especially its processes. And although biotechnology has many variants and offers a huge range of possibilities, in many cases, the production of a drug revolves around a bioreactor.
A bioreactor is a tank designed to grow living organisms or biochemically active substances under controlled conditions. There is a wide variety of processes that result in several types of bioreactors that can be classified in different ways.
All the attributes they usually include, such as the temperature control jacket, the agitators, or the sensors, are aimed at maintaining a series of critical conditions in the reactor environment. These conditions are: pH, temperature, nutrients, and dissolved oxygen.
Our bioreactors are designed to operate in "batch" mode, with the following operating stages:
If a continuous process is needed, our engineering team will carry out the required adaptation.

The vinegar is obtained from the bacterial fermentation of ethyl alcohol. Vinegar is edible, but it can also be used for cleaning or disinfectant purposes.
Vinegar is a multipurpose ecological product. Beyond its use in salads or as a preservative, it can be used as a cleaning product for bathrooms, toilets, fridges, kitchens, windows, coffee machines, among others. It is often diluted in water and can be used cold or hot for greater efficiency.
The packaging line manufactured by Herpasa will fill 5000BPH (bottles per hour) in bottle formats ranging from 250ml to 1000ml.
The process starts with a blowing machine that makes the bottles to be filled.
Once the bottles are manufactured, the automatic filling process begins, which is controlled by a PLC.
This project is part of the packaging systems business line developed by HERPASA to offer its customers complete engineering, manufacturing, and packaging solutions for their products.

Compote is a food intended mainly for infants, made from various fruits and soft vegetables. It is a very healthy food that helps the development of babies and is recommended as the second meal of the day. Its production consists of 70-100% fruit with natural stabilizers added at 25-35 degrees Brix.
It is a turnkey project, from the construction of the metal structure of the building, approximately 4500 M2, to the implementation of the entire production process, and all the services necessary for the operation of the plant. The plant will have a capacity to process 720kg of apples/hour, which will be packaged at the rate of 7200 bags/hour.
The process phases are as follows:
This project is part of HERPASA's strategy of selling turnkey projects for the agri-food industry consisting of compotes, fruit juices, and concentrates such as apple, pear, banana, mango, amongst others.
