COMPLETE PRODUCTION LINE FOR ALCOHOL GEL
We have launched a complete production line for alcohol gel – from storage of alcohol in stainless steel tanks, through the mixing process, up until the final product is packaged and ready for sale, in just 90 days.
The spread of the coronavirus disease across the world has triggered the demand for alcohol gel in recent months, not only in pharmacies, but also in supermarkets, which has caused a shortage of the product.
The HERPASA's expertise in process engineering, filling, packaging and end-of-production line, for the food and chemical sectors, has allowed us to develop this complete production line for alcohol gel, that be ready in only 90 days.
Our alcohol gel production includes the following processes:
Mixing
The process for the production of alcohol gel consists of mixing the appropriate substances in the reactor-mixer. The choice of the stirrer is very important and must take into account the desired final product and the mixing times. This part of the process is under Atex specifications.
Bottle filling
Subsequently, the product is pumped to the filler through an Atex pump, which will be “Class II” classified and will proceed to fill bottles from 50ml to 1 litre with a high precision volumetric filling system. After filling, bottles must be covered, using a versatile capper able to feed and thread the flip-top caps as well as thread the pumps cuppers which were fed manually.
The bottle feeding is carried out through a rotary feeding table, as well as the rear exit to the self-adhesive labeller, completely integrated in the packaging line.
